Nou nee niet direct, maar als de synthesizerist de gothic teksten schrijft en de basgitarist meezingt, en de drummer af en toe inspreekt, ja dan heb ik het over gothic, en ze vinden het ook leuk om zo genoemd te worden, dus waarom niet? :wink:

Op zich vind ik NW's teksten niet bij uitstek gothic.

1) Wat versta je uberhaupt onder gothic teksten aangezien AF en Epica bijvoorbeeld ook maatschappelijke problemen als onderwerp hebben?
2) Dit soort teksten kom je in wel meer metalstromingen tegen.

Wanneer spreekt de drummer eigenlijk in? Is hij die gast die we op AFF horen?

De basgitarist zingt, maar om in het gothic metal genre ingedeeld te worden zou een 'beauty and the beast' stijl gebruikelijker zijn, oftewel een gruntvocal.

Nee dat is die van de keyboards. De drummer spreekt geloof ik op Oceanborn van alles in.
Gothic teksten vind ik, aangezien gothic een stroming is die zich min of meer verschuilt in een fantasywereld, teksten die over fantasyzaken gaan. Het hangt natuurlijk allemaal van je eigen definitie af.

Hhm, Tolkien bijvoorbeeld, dat lijkt me wel een goed voorbeeld van fantasy. Ik heb hier een paar nummers van Burzum die over Lord of the Rings gaan (om nog maar te zwijgen over de bandnaam "Burzum")

Als muziek: nou nee. Als maatschappelijke stroming: Lijkt me wel ja. Meestal zie ik BM ook als onderdeel van de gothic subcultuur. Zoals ik al zei: het hangt van je definitie af.

Als je grunts noodzakelijk vindt voor gothic, ja. Maar als je bv Within Temptation gothic wil noemen, of andere bands die cleane zang of alleen vrouwelijke zang gebruiken, lijkt het me niet.

Hhm, als ik zou was zou ik daar maar niet tegen truie blekkies zeggen, die zijn namelijk zo anti-gothic als het maar kan... :lol: :lol: :lol:

Zeg lord leuber, ik kreeg zojuist een bericht dat de muziek website is afgefakkeld, ik hoop dat jij de sources nog hebt ander ligt er een flinke lading werk "im eimer"!

Heb je die website eigenlijk ooit aangeprezen als geweldig hier op het forum, afijn bij deze doe ik het dan met terugwerkende kracht al is hij gisteren opgehouden te bestaan!

Volgens mij heb ik 1 en ander hier nog wel op de harde schijf staan, maar voordat het weer online gaat wil ik eerst her en der aan revisie gaan doen!

had je niet breedband in de planning staan voor de toekomst, dan krijg je wat webspace ... mocht je nog wat nuttige tips willen hebben (wat ik betwijfel) dan weet je waar je moet zijn
