so... MDB have a brand new album!has anybody listened to it??is it good??

I'm going to write a few words about the new MDB album for this special thread.... well, currently i'm not into metal but i'm still fan of this band... never known why i was so... anyway.
i wish i knew (lol)

so... "A Line of Deathless Kings" is the new album and it's a great one to me. Sure, there 's still nothing new and creative about MDB music... (especially if you knew about their evolution and the three last LPs)

but so... what makes this album so good to me?

the atmosphere... yeah this particular and insane atmosphere MDB knows about...

thanx to these slow... slow... and heavy guitars... these feverish bass lines ... and those drum rolls .... that catch me instantly, blistering me from the inside.

...and thanx to the keyboards which darkened the pieces so perfectly... and with romance.

in a way, the music sound more visual, even cinematographic and "fantastic".

Aaron also made some good effort for this LP: his vocals are still depressed (clearer, there are less grunts in this album)... singing as if he was possessed...

the result is nice... thrilling and musically obsessing.

To me, "A Line" is a nice following of "Words of Light"... i think their music surrounding are closed to each other.

i cant say it's a masterpiece yet... as i still need some more listening to write so...

fave tracks: "L'Amour Detruit*", "Deeper Down"

^ Very nicely put.

I'm still discovering this album myself, but am getting swallowed in it with each listen. My favourite tracks are also the same that Hoang's mentions. L' Amour Detruit is without doubt one of THE songs of the year for me. Love's Intolerable Pain is another of my favourites. How I'd love to hear these tracks performed live.

"I cannot be Loved" "Thy Raven Wings' and "The Blood the Wine, The Roses" are also very good. so do the left songs of this album.
it grows in me at each listening.
