Waking Hour
One of the strongest songs they made, and it almost makes me cry. This is my song, and it's staring me in the face. Night and day.

For me, today's song of the day is "Kleid aus Rosen", by Subway to Sally, from the Herzblut album. On the album, you get it twice - an electric version and an acoustic version. The electric version is thrilling because of the way the medieval and rock/metal elements combine, while the acoustic version is so plaintive and heartfelt.

It's one hell of a good song, even though I don't understand the lyrics. I've only had the album for a short time, and I must get busy with the dictionary.

beautiful instrumental song... with seducing and shiny melodies...
i especially like the heartbeat rythm of this track listened from the beginning... as if it was announcing a re-birth or a return to life.

this song is a great favourite of mine. it s about ten years old but s still powerful at each listening. I dont consider this song as a love one. it's dedicated to the hypocrite people that wear mask i face everyday in my current life. it rules !

extreme and technic music composing ... very creative and confusing... with jazz, thrash, heavy elements ... including great Jorn Lande vocals... the mastering of this song (and the whole album) are still unique and weird (especially for a "prog" rock band... in my opinion, its not easy to get into it at the first listening)... well, through the years, the result is still awsome.

Monolithe - "Monolithe II"

One track, 50 MINUTES LONG. Reminds me of the Anathema period around Pentecost III/Silent Enigma. Nice melodies and they even tastefully throw in an accordion (yes, it works!). The band is inspired by 2001: a space odyssey and they work towards a more positive and interesting viewpoint beyond the typical "I cry in the dark shadows of a mourful chapel" type doom vibe (don't let this discourage you from the music. The vocals are just as harsh and the lyrics poetic and there are no cheesy christian overtones or any crap like that in case you are wondering about the "positive" aspect.) I see great things in the future for this doom band.
