Anyone heard it already? What do you think about it?
In my opinion.. different from anything they've done before (as always), and again, after listening to the record a few times, I LOVE IT!

Can't wait for oficial release to buy it :) and for a gig in portugal :D .

I thought Absolution was fairly bland and boring.

On the other hand, Black Holes and Revelations is interesting, I feel they have stopped trying to imitate other well known bands and are actually creating something of their own.

I think it´s an good album. Lot´s of big arrangements but also funky ones like the single ( Super massive black hole). My favourite track so far is "Starlight".

That was my feeling too... I havent heard the new one... I'm bot a fraid to try actually. To me the single is cacthy but it sounds like Muse, which I saw as a band going forward, is just another becoming another fitting in the mass... :-?
But hell, I wont keep that judgment until I hear it... ;)
I'm still hoping

so about me... i never liked Muse music (was recommended by one of my friends who like them) ... i still dont, even with this last very good album...

especially because of the singer's voice (an important detail to me) He sings nicely but i just cant stand his timbre... (it's not unique).

about the intrumental (listening to the last album), Muse music is directly catchy, perfectly composed to me... some songs (some future hits)are also complex (no doubt the band does have some great sense of melodies and arrangements) but... the music "sounds" generally too smooth... too precised... even accessible (maybe commercial? mm i dont know)... like the oldest songs, i'm afraid to get bored after just a few listening . (no offense, it's just my opinion, as a listener)...

on the other hand, i'm convinced it's a really good band. i understand why so many people like them and feel some kind of euphoria listening to them ...
anyway, Muse is good but greater (according to their old fans) if you have the opportunity to see them "live".

I did see muse in 2000 during a fetsival, and I thought "shite, you only have 3 guys on this stage and it's SO massive!"
If I have the opportunity to see them live again then I might go indeed

I don't agree, I think Absolution it's the CD that change the musical way of muse (cof cof comercia cof cof) . I didn't like it, I don't like black holes....eighter, it's not quite good.
I love the first albums, the best muse songs are there.

i love Absolution also, it was the 2nd Muse album that i heard and i just couldn't take "Hysteria" and "Stockholm Syndrome" out of my head :P

if there is any change of style in that cd, i like it... the same for Black Holes and Revelations, but i still prefer Absolution and Origin Of Symmetry

comercial? puajj

the comercial things could be great and could sucks, that's not teh point, i like bands too much know by all the people and they are amazing musicians (Pink floyd for example).
I think you are very alternative to understand things like that.

I like all the muse's albums

This one is more...uh, dancy(?) than their previous releases.

It's an awesome record nonetheless, but Absolution remains their best! 8)

I think it's their best album to date. More variation, some very good songs. Although I hope they will change more in future.. it's too much like U2 sometimes...

mmm, I understund your point, but: bands like queen or Pink floyd never change their way to do music for being on MTV. I simply can't imagine a britney spears base in a pink floyd song. It's that the thing I comment on Muse.
I think that the new Muse album it's quite good, but It's not as amathing as the older ones, It's simply that it hasn't so much feelling. That's my personal opinion, but I keep saiyng that Muse IS A GREAT BAND!!! I love matt voice!!!!

I liked the first album but went RIGHT off them afterwards. Plug in Baby was good but then I couldn't stomach any more from them.

This new album's material (going off the first 2 singles taken from it) seems to be getting me excited again. Infact, I could very well buy it in the near future! :o I really dig the concept behind the album as well.

I bought it a few weeks ago and WOW!!!

Starlight is my favourite track. Invincible and Map of the Problematique are also up there! Pure Awesomeness from start to finish. I may just be in love with it.

Oh, and I've been listening to the older material again as well, and finding new appreciation for what I wasn't keen on before, though I always thought the first album rocked.
