i've written music since i was 17, now i'm 23 so i don't have the greatest experience perhaps but i try to learn and improve. also i'm singing since 8 years, there i have much to learn too. and, one of the best ways to learn is by getting feedback  so, anyone up for listening and commenting? you can find some songs under the download section, i'd recommend you to listen to the songs from my latest demo "Demons" since this is pretty much where my music + singing is nowadays.
any feedback, both complaints and optimism, is welcome.

I made a comment at myspace, but i can say it here too

First of all you have a beautiful voice!
The songs are good too but i am not in a mood for this kind of music right now.
I believe that you will find many people here that will like your music.
The important thing is to keep trying and making your music,no matter what other people say.

PS : If Nightwish are still looking for a singer, send them a demo tape

hello,

so... i only listened to "Demons" and "Night" and "black and white pictures" songs.

in these songs i listened to, i found the soprano female voice nice ( i just realised it's yours, reading the biography, congratulation) ... the instrumental is relaxing ... pretty dark and symphonic . sometimes, it reminded me of some Elis and Erben der Schôpfung, even Sins of Thy Beloved arrangements... some melodies are also beautiful and correct.... well... not bad. these were the pros.

here are the cons:
i reproach your music for sounding the same... and being a bit "empty"...
also i think more instruments are still missing to follow the rythm... well...
i dont know your definitive line up... just to tell you i would have added more stuffs to make the music more completed and catchy...

that's my opinion... pretty short ... well... that's all i can say :green:

nevertheless, i advice you to keep on composing...yes, i think you have some nice music potential...

so... just dont give up playing the music you like... and good luck!

:flower:

@ Dutch, thanx for the feedback. i guess my music doesn't suite all moods no ;) hm i actually sent nightwish a demo, long ago, haven't heard anything from them but never counted on doing so either. it was just one of these things i had to try :)

@ hoang, thank you also for your feedback! i know my songs can sound similar and i think that's mainly due to the limited kind of synthezisers i use. me and my boyfriend has just recently bought a couple of more plugins to use, like a better piano, better drums, and some orchestral plugins. i hope this will make my music come alive a bit more. it's hard to do that in a home studio though :-? but i'm aware of this issue. also to have someone who always was there to record guitars for me would help a bit, for my next demo i'll have some songs containing guitars and i hope that might add a little extra.
well, thank you for your honest opinions! :) i'll try to think more about making the music come alive more. and i won't ever stop writing music, it's one of these things i just have to do by now.

Very nicely done. Your vocal style and sound is beautiful. I sincerely like this. Personally 'Black and White Picture' and 'Broken' are my favorites. As far as an opinion on how to improve, it's not my place to tell you such things. Being a musician is all about what you yourself love to sing and play. That is what makes a musician unique. If people like it, then that is a great thing. But if some don't like it, don't worry, don't change just to please them.

I wish you well and I hope you succeed above and beyond the place you wish to attain.

@ hoang, thanx again :) and yes that's true, i did almost all on my own. if i could just play the bass + guitar + mix the music myself i'd be on my own i suppose. but working with other people is fun too :)

@ Lore Yseult, i'm honoured you like it! and it's cool you like those songs best, somehow i feel those are the songs on my most recent demo that i'm most satisfied with.
hm i guess you're right about that part. though criticism is always good to deal with one way or another. you don't always have to change the music, but you could learn and improve from the opinions. as long as one agree on them to some point.

Well... Thought I'd update this old topic. I have a new demo out now, called Where Angels Grow, which is so much better than my old music in every aspect. On this page you can listen to 6 of the 11 tracks:

Comments and feedback = highly welcome.

so, it's me again.

Despite I don't like your music at all (too much pompous and inspirated for me), I wouldn't say your demos are bad though ...

actually, this kind of music is just not my cup of tea anymore.

anyway, I realize you improved your way of composing and arranging songs since last time... the songs are catchier and more mature.
I feel like you got some better material now.

just glad to know you keep on playing something you still like too...

Thanks for your honest input, it's definitely not a bad thing that you don't think the demos are bad although it's not your thing. And thanks for the kind words. I try to learn, and hopefully I am really learning and not just wasting time ;)
