The Gathering

Valkyre was formed at the end of 2004 and the beginning of 2005 by Kris Scheerlinck after he had to leave his former band Sengir. The band consists of eight well-trained musicians coming from different styles of music but with the same common interest : melodic atmospherical metal.
Valkyre's style can be discribed as a mixture from gothic-metal, classical music, folkmusic and melodic metal. Influenced by bands as Therion, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish and Camelot this band provides you with a nice blend of atmosphere and metal heavyness.

Mieke quits Valkyre - new singer wanted

Due to personal circumstances Mieke has decided to quit Valkyre and take a new direction in her life. For almost three years she has been giving the best of herself as a singer, and as a person. We are very grateful that she was part of the band, and for the great moments we had together with her.

As for the next Valkyre concerts Mieke will help us out until we will have found a worthy replacement.

This means that Valkyre is looking for a new female vocalist. Do you own a set of great vocal chords? Are you ambitious and want to give all you got on stages and in studio? Then it's time to contact us!!

We are looking for a female vocalist meeting the following requirements:

rock voice: no soprano or choir voice
dedication and enthusiasm are a must
age: 18+
must be willing to play gigs in Benelux and occasionally beyond (UK, France, Germany, Italy,...)
Rehearsals in East-Flanders (Ghent) and/or province of Antwerp (Mechelen)
