I can't wait to listen to it, I'll download a few songs to get the general idea. Hmm so there are a lot of female vocals? I didn'' expect that since both Snowy Shaw and Mats Leven are singing. Maybe they did it as a duo or something hehe.
I actually can't wait to hear the songs in which they sing!

A few days ago I saw their concert in Prague
and it was absolutely fantastic.

If you had a chance to visit any Therion's concert I would really recomend you to go. They are great!

the new songs are various and far better than Lemuria/Sirius album (my opinion)

in spite of this, i dont like this album. (just because fed up with Therion music ... no improvement and it's mostly the same)

no offense but i also think they focus more on their image than their music itself (like many current "gothic" bands)

Lemuria/Sirius are my favorite albums from Therion besides Vovin. I'm not really into the new one.

bloody hell.. Okay I'm not into metal that much more... Definitely left Therion ages ago... I only own Vovin actually.. but I just went to their myspace out of curiosity...
I'm sorry but I find their current music totally passé/cliché...
If I listen to Vovin nowadays I smile about the cliché but I still like some of the arrangements.. here I found nothing special...

just my 2 ct...

i love both metal and classical music but i think and realized Therion music is empty and flat (even Vovin). it has nothing to do with chemistry and virtuosity, and the symbiosis between metal and classic is weak.

really sorry for the negative opinion.

I decided to go and see their gig although I have never been a big Therion's fan. Until last week I had known only albums Vovin and Theli and some other songs... So mainly their concert itself gave me a new strong impression and feeling about their music, which I would have never got only from listening Therion's albums.
During passed week I was listening other albums and heard for the first time songs which I heard recently live. To be honest I must admit that if I had not seen their live show these songs would not have amazed me so much.
I would say that maybe in the case of some Therion's songs it's better to see live performance.
That concert was experience. I would also say that nowadays Therion has very good line-up

I have no problems with your opinions, but personally I think that Therion has no equal in this kind of music

You had a nice experience to see them. i may know what you mean and i do respect your opinion too.
was also a Therion listener but i lost totally interest in this band. this is specific to me... and my way i see and listen to music.

some factors such as different circles opinions, music taste evolution... it can take time to realize.

anyway, i keep in mind Therion is cult and that they were one of the first bands (as far as i know) to get that interesting symphonic /metal approach... at least playing with a true orchestra. But album by album i realized i expected too much from this band.

as well, keep on enjoying them.

cheers!

Therion is a group that heard has been doing about 6 years ago without knowing as it were really called, after compiling music in search of new sounds three years ago, I found the subjects listened to for several years and I could listen to its complete works, is a great band.

I'm surprised by the comments here. I think Therion gets better every album and this one is amazing. I love it. They took a huge leap with their songwriting. Their melodies are beautiful. The drummer is awesome and I've been a fan of Snowy since Memento Mori days. I had no idea that he had such a great voice. This will probably be the best album of 2007 (IMHO). That is, unless TG releases something with their DVD. Maybe Nightwish with their new singer, but that remains to be seen.

Therion is a great band. I began to listen the band 2 years ago, and the best album, for me, is Lemuria and Sirius B. In the last disc, they lost the lirics voices a little, is good, but not my favorite.

Anyway, here in Chile, we waited for with anxiety their concert in September :D

Therion = yawwwn. They've been recycling themselves for years now; saw them live their first time around here, OK, that's it. No more for me, thank you.

Just my humble opinion, of course. 8)
