Economically speaking.

Admins, hope it's ok to post this shit here, I wouldn't normally do but considering the number of potential Ulver fans around the Gathering fans and the fact that we need to spread the word I think it's the right thing to do, otherwise you know what to do. Care.

Well, considering Trickster lent lyrics to TG's last two albums...

For those living outside Europe, The End Records (TG's distributor in the same area) has released a similar package with no vinyl and a different t-shirt or so it seems, my eyes hurt from work.

Read the news by clicking here.

The news on Æthenor...

Hello everyone,

Are you informed about the Æthenor? Just in case no one told you, Ulver’s Mr. Rygg has recently contributed to this monster and will be helping to take their show out on the road in April. Furthermore, their new album, "Betimes Black Cloudmasses", will be out via VHF that very same month.

I recently spoke with our man Kris about the upcoming Æthenor gigs. Below I have included the most interesting of points.

The skinny:

"Yeah, I am going on the road with the Æ-street band in April, for five gigs, but please tell people not to heckle me, cause then I’ll never play live again, haha. "

The experience:

"It’s more interesting to play live in this context rather than assimilating studio music, which I never got. But of course the set-up is a lot more volatile and fate and chance and that, so we’ll see. I’m in the backseat and will be working with my voice and a laptop, processing and triggering sounds real-time etc."

"It’s kind of abstract, chromatic jazz meets ambient. Not that high-pass filtered synth-arpeggiator shite though ... more acoustic and/or ’real’. Our ’presence’ is as important to the sound as the stuff emanating from Daniel’s Rhodes piano, Steve’s guitar pickups and my mic. It’s hard to describe really, but I feel that there’s a certain telepathic element at play. We recently had a couple wonderful rehearsals in London. The drummer we’ve got with us, Steve Noble, is beyond good man. He used to play with Derek Bailey and those boys so ... and David Tibet is joining on the final gig as well, so it should be quite good."

If you have not yet experienced Æthenor, you’re really in for a treat. An accurate and just description of their wonderful music is not something I can easily come up with. Such a message is better communicated when hearing it for yourself. They have samples new and old available for your ears on their profile. I urge each and every one of you to tune in and enjoy immensely. the URL is http://www.myspace.com/aethenor

Last, but not least, here’s the road schedule. I hope most of you can make it.

Hmm Perdition City was my first encounter, Svidd Nigger OST huanted me for about a year.. and Blood Inside is marvel... actually Ulver is a bit like TG never coming back where you werent expecting them to be... so each record is different to the other and they all have the same dark atmosphere
