I removed your link cause I believe it was against the copyright of the band (and possibly the term of use of this forum)

Listened to it once but it's too early to have an opinion

I think it rocks...
Highlights for me: My apocalypse... Broken, beat & scarred... and All Nightmare long.

Like 100 times better than St. Anger.

not bad.

a bit flat but quite good...

I think it is the best album since Metallica's Black album was released.

some people says it's closed to Justice for All. I really disagree with that.

I listened to the Demo Magnetic tracks this week... I loved it. These sound much better than the studio ones.

personally, this album reminds me a lot of good past moments.

but I also think you don't have to be a Metallica fan to enjoy it.

It's true,it reminds me of alot of past moments of metallica but other bands too.
It's sounds too old-fashioned to me.Like they did exactly what the fans wanted cause they didnt have the chance to make another album like load(one of my favorites),reload or st anger.

The songs are very goos but in my opinion should be smaller. If they were i would say that it's a great album. Now it's just tiring to my ears.

I share a bit your opinion John. To me it sounds a bit like what could have been the follower of the black album if the band only wanted to please their fans... I also listened to Load quite a lot just a few weeks ago and it's definitely a very good one (but also NOT a typical Metallica album).

I feel that the band wanted to put too many ideas in their songs... often I have the feeling "Oh Gosh it's not over yet"... which is only due to the fact that the songs have too many exploited ideas... If you would remove one or 2 rifs per song, everything would fit better for my own tastes.

one thing I'm sure is they didn't make this album for money. They don't need to!!! ^^

Moreover I agree with your old fashioned view... because Metal is old music to me anyway... and this is not necessarily pejorative, especially in this kinda album. yes, it's one of the reasons I love it so much! I'm from the old school (was just influenced by old music sonorities/ arrangements in my childhood... and this is precursor), so I would keep saying Metal oldies do it better, ehe!

new generation metal / prog rock sounds so clean, aseptic and artificial... really!!!

I haven't been able to listen to it because I'm not convinced it's worth the $20 price tag. How is Trujillo's performance on here?

Download the other mix from the video game. Is better. I bought the CD with the concert ticket last year. The first CD I bought of them, and first time I've seen them since Justice.

I would.. except I've lost some respect for Metallica over the years.
