Haven't heard the new album of Faith & The Muse yet. Hope it will make it into the list.
I think this year was better in case of classical music (interesting releases with Paavo Järvi, for example).

It does! Just heard "Akoku Butoh" today and I think it's my new favorite album of 2009! Great mix of Ethereal, Gothic Rock, Folk and some extensive percussions. Also the artwork and bonus material (DVD) is well done.
