"This record is the prove that someone returning from vacation in Greece can bring along more than only sunburn and ouzo. The band is called "Diafana Krina", which with rock elements and much emotion, blows us an insane - super, great - sound around the ears.Unfortunately, everything is in Greek, but according to their compatriots the lyrics are not to be despised. This is something I cannot judge, but a
sure fact is, that the deep Greek singing gives to the whole an extremely exotic feeling and makes the music an original masterpiece, which cannot easily be compared with something else.During a first listening of the album, and not always, someone could call them as sound brothers of the Spanish rock legend "Heroes Del Silencio",although the music of Diafana Krina is somewhat slower and in addition
more blues-like and psychedelic elements occur, sometimes reminding, especially the guitars and at least on this record, a little bit of The Gathering. To put Diafana Krina in a certain drawer, would have no sense, because one must hear this sound experience by oneself, in order to be convinced of
the fact that these gentlemen, who enjoy absolute cult status in Greece, are really good. Concerning the title, I even had it translated at the airport by a completely surprised hostess, who said that it means
something like "the silence smells after wild cherries". I would say that this surely sounds better in Greek...A person that becomes enthusiastic for beautiful and versatile rock music, should absolutely buy a record of Diafana Krina at the next vacation in Greece, or order it (them) somewhere in the internet"
