Tja, het 'Anneke probleem', dat ken ik. Er zijn zeker wel andere zangeressen die ik goed vind, maar ik ga ze dan toch weer met Anneke vergelijken... tja wie zou ik dan nou de beste vinden... :D

Ik heb trouwens ook nog nooit iemand een negatief wordt horen zeggen over Anneke of de The gathering. Zelfs de gabberinnetjes vroeger bij mij in de klas ("96 of zo) vonden The Gathering goed. Terwijl zij naar hun oink oink - muziek luisterenden, wilde ze ook meeluisteren op mijn walkman. The Gathering werd steevast goed gekeurd...

Een vriend van mij, die ook een recensiesite heeft (http://www.schrijfsels.8m.com), vindt dat Anneke's zanglijnen vaak teveel op elkaar lijken en dat dit voor de muziek ook geldt, daarom is er volgens hem geen onderscheid te maken tussen de NB nummers en is HTMAP? ronduit saai... (verder houden we muzieksmaak en vriendschap goed gescheiden, anders zouden we natuurlijk niet meer door 1 deur kunnen...) :D :D

Nou, eerlijk gezegd zie ik wel wat die vriend van je bedoelt. Maar ik vind wel dat ze er op Souvenirs and BLD echt definitief van af zijn. Op de platen gaat het doorgaans goed (ik vind HTMAP verre van saai), maar op dat optreden wat toen is uitgezonden in de WDR Rocknacht had ik het wel heel erg. Toen speelde ze acht of negen nummers die allemaal zo'n beetje hetzelfde tempo hadden. Ik had vrij lang in m'n hoofd dat Mandylion daar ook een beetje onder leed maar toen ik 'm een paar weken geleden weer 'ns draaide sinds hele lange tijd vond ik het eigenlijk best meevallen.

Ik vind dr stem per album beter worden hoor..maar in het nummer BLD vind ik het echt gewoon PERFECT!

Ik liet gisteren Sleepy Buildings aan mijn (alleen gothic minnende) vrienden horen en ze moesten zelfs toegeven, dat het goed klonk.

Ja, ik kan er niets aan doen!! Ik vind haar gewoon echt niet mooi kunnen zingen!

Mijn vriend vindt Anneke van Giersbergen bijvoorbeeld irritant zingen, terwijl ik me dat absoluut niet kan voorstellen!!
