If the Gathering was to make a non-studio album release in the coming months (not including their upcoming soundtrack) what would you want it to be? Describe :)

For me, I'd like to see a DVD with some pre-Souvenirs festival or tour footage, a full concert from the current tour, and maybe a live song from each post-album tour TG has done. A nice bonus would be a bsides and/or live CD, maybe including some remixes and unreleased material :)

Whatever it is, i'd like it to be better than Sleepy Buildings.

DVD

But, not a "traditional" live concert, though. Something artistic in the way Pink Floyd did Live at Pompeii or Led Zeps Song Remains the Same films. I think it would be special if TG did a "live" show without the audience, but recorded just for the dvd purchasing audience. Directed sort of like a concert/film. Performing in various settings. Also, longer than a traditional show, like 3 hours. They could do updated versions of songs from all of the releases. And in a slip-cased digi-pak w/a special expanded booklet.

I still think Sleepy Buildings would have been even cooler with a DVD disc of the semi-acoustic show included.

Voted for DVD, but B-sides compilation is a good idea too.

Those are some pretty interesting ideas. Yeah a dvd from the Sleepy Buildings show would have been awesome but i doubt Century Media would go along with that.

A dvd, of course. Live albums we have had and I doubt the b-sides and rarities they have reelased would yet fill an album (well, if BLD is a rare ep release then maybe, but IMO it shouldn't be count). But a dvd, that's what I want.

To be realistic, I believe the dvd will be a concert disc, and consist of one or two gigs. But I hope they'll add the music videos, the old dockumentaries and bonus video files on it, because I'd like to own those videos in better quality. Also, they should consider producing a new, longer dockumentary about the band. And one option they might take: a few "best of the best" -bootleg songs would probably amuse many of us fans. After all, they have never discouraged fans to make bootlegs of their own.

Well my vote goes for B-sides, because I think a lot of TG fans don´t have the opportunity to have this kind of stuff.

A double live with the two conserts in my country for I believe that the result was truly magnificant.

And of course, after that, any other realease would be acceptable!!!
I trust them very much and I think any realease is going to be of excellent quality.
