In what sort of venue would you most like to see TG perform?

And please resist the urge to write in something like "my living room."

Personally I prefer to see The Gathering in a small club or bar....as is also the case with basically all bands I enjoy. I really enjoy the small intimate setting and vibe. Being able to get very close to watch the band is also a big plus for me. Luckily I've had the opportunity to see TG twice in such a setting right up front against the stage. Just an incredibly moving and memorable experierence.

I've never seen them in a seated theatre or mid sized venue, but I imagine that would be very nice as well. I did see them once in a fairly large hall (Milwaukee Metalfest 99). It was still great, but the atmosphere of the gig was quite different. Not as enjoyable as a small venue in my opinion.

I'ev experience both seated and standing gig and for the stelist the band played on this tour I still prefer standing up because you could interact better with the band...
The seated gigs I've seen was in Groningen and Nijmegen but heel in Groningen it didn't really made it while in Nijmegen it was awesome... I guess it's because the Lux is a super room to developp quiet atmo + the audience was not a normal audience for those gigs... Really respectful but also really fan of the music [not of the bar]!

I've only seen the band once and that was in a club, but because the crowd was pretty small, it seemed like it was a larger venue at times.

I like to see the band (only TG) in a bar or better smaller venue...
There is the smallest distance possible between the band and the audiance... and the best sound (if your are standing in the first row!!! ;)

The distance at the stadium is often to great ... but I also like great festivals like Dynamo or Wacken ... also Huntenpop and Zillo.
The difference are the different bands you can see @ great festivals.
And for great festivals you need definitly a stadium or a arena.
But an arena like WALDBÜHNE in Berlijn or the arena @ Zillo festival is a better place as @ the stadium ... best view (if you are standing in a big crowed ) and a better sound (Waldbühne).

well... I 've never seen the band playin' in a bar or in a club yet...
but it's probably better seeing them in there...

the smallest the place is ... the greatest the pictures and the show are :green: ....

anyway, this is "off topic" cause this is not connected with the place of the show, but i wanted to say that i hate those talkative people or fans.... who "know everything about the band" (show off).... and those whose mobile phone rings during a live song... I don't care if they're the biggest TG fans...this is impolite for the band and this kills the atmosphere and the pleasure of the music ....

but unfortunately, these guys are everywhere...

Hahaha "behind the grey" it is a good idea...

I prefer a bar. It's warm atmosphere, you know very good for the music of the gathering...

It's better to see a band like The Gathering in a small club or bar. They play the kind of music that puts you in a nice little trance and it's quite enjoyable being up so close to them, being able to see all the words come out of Anneke's mouth, see the band up close and personal. It's a wonderful setting.
