I usually go to free gigs or fests..but if I have to pay for a ticket, that's even less than 1 gig per year...

For me it's about two gigs per month so about 24/25 every year. It depends on the bands that come but there is always something interesting.

I don't go to gigs as often as I would like to, mostly because the tickets are usually expensive, and most of the times I have no one to go with!! :( I voted 3-6

Usually once every month but it varies a lot. I've been to 10 concerts already since january and at least 10 more coming.

This year I've seen only 2 concerts :oops:

The Gathering w/ Agalloch & November's Doom
Exodus (w/ a few local bands I don't remember)

This is shaping up to be the least number of concerts I've seen since 1988. :( A combination of just not that many shows of interest touring in my area....and being unable to get time off from my jobs :evil:

I used to go to around 40 shows a year during the early 90's. Last year was 8.

25-52 and sometimes more...
Well, I'm a "live music-dependent" so if something playes in the city somewhere that I like, I usually go to listen. I'm lucky because I live in the capital of Hungary so every week is full of music, I only have to choose :green: Mostly they are Hungarian bands of course, there are some groups I always visit when they're playing...
I also love festivals - but because of the feeling of being together with a lot of people. I'm not able every day to watch 5-6 groups, I think nobody is. Only yesterday was that Sziget 2004 Festival ended - and I saw about 10-12 concerts - in one week...But TG were also there :green: :green:
Here are the bands that I visited 'til now this year and they are not from Hungary:
Anathema - twice(Krakow and Budapest) :green:

Opeth
Amorphis
My Dying Bride
Afro Celt Sound System
In Flames
Children Of Bodom
Kosheen(OK, another kind of music but it was good - or only I was drunk? :wink: )
...and I also gonna see Therion, Tristania, Nightwish. Nice year :wink: But no more TG I think:(
