Hard to compare. Tarja and Anneke has totally different style of singing, I like both of them, but Anneke's voice never makes me being jiggered.

I think I have to agree with Daggie

Actually I don't find them to be of a very similar style. Quite a few other female vocalists are closer to Anneke's style than Tarja.

In an attempt to be fair....I'm not a Nightwish fan by any stretch, but I will say technically Tarja does have an excellent voice. I really don't know her background, but it sounds as she must have had extensive vocal training. The problem is I just find her vocals to be devoid of much passion and feeling.

Anneke, on the other hand (to my ears at least) is just one of a kind. Incredibly beautiful emotional singing unmatched or unsurpassed by anyone. She has a very distinctive voice....even among a sea of imitators, she always stands out and you know it's Anneke when you hear the singing.

But if you like the style Tarja sings,try Floor Jansen(After Forever) 1000 times better,and Sharon den Adel(Within Temptation) 500 times better than Turunen.
