If you downloaded the "DC++" program,all you have to do is open it,press the "public hubs" button on the top left corner and in the "manual connect address" place write "peter.dyndns.org:10177" and then "connect".

Ps:does anyone know what we can do about firewalls?
I use zonealarm and although i can download from certain users(for example aragorn24 and diewhie),there are others who appear with a red wall in front of their name.I cannot download anything from them,is it because of their firewall or mine?
Moreover,i have the feeling that noone can download from me too although i have done all the appropriate settings on my firewall (i'm 42147 on the hub)
Help anyone....?

Well i foun a great tutoria, step by step, on how to configure Dc++ to work on the hub, the only problem is that it's in spanish, I'll try to translated later so english users can use it, the more sources there are the better, so share your bootlegs

It's temporarily down. I got a new job and also updated my operating system which resulted in my firewall blocking the hub and not having the time to work on it. I'll try to plug away at it this weekend.

This is only temporary. I want to get it back up again.

I get this message when i try to connect :"Connection refused by target machine". Am i doing something wrong, or is the server down ?

hy my name is motorpsycho man and new here. I have taped one the gathering (leeuwarden holland) show so far and involved in more trading other than the gathering. Ill find the music standard (like mp3 ) a low standard because it cut's off the frequency above the 15khz.
that makes the music not as good as it was when it was taped that's wy ill try to trade in lossless formats like shn and flac or org and forbis. I think when you go beneath the useal standard you treat the music not with the respect it deserves so when you ask me ill go for a hub with the high standard and keep the hub clean.
iff you ask me audio or video my choice would be audio and the standard as high you can get and don't go for less.

the music is the most important don't forget that

so keep the hub open and go for the highest standard.

In case you get a connection error message, just try again immediately or a few minutes later. Works fine.

I strongly prefer video (personally). But the hub is open to all formats. I agree about what you said about mp3. That's why I use AAC or lossless for my iPod. But bootlegs are bootlegs, and the quality is never great.

I joined the hub many times, but for some reason, i can't resume unfinished files !!! I've even tried different dc client to make sure it wasn't me. but still the resumes don't work.

That sucks. I wish I could help you out. I'm running an old version of DC++, and it works quite well for me.

WHAT IS THE HUB? IS IT A WEB SITE FOR DOWNLOADING TG SHOWS?

It's like a BBS. Sort of like hotline, KDX, or Carracho, except p2p. I'm thinking of switching to KDX, but we'll see how the hub holds up. The p2p concept works well if people are there and sharing. You can go to http://www.neo-modus.com to read about Direct Connect and get the software.

that's the wrong address. I had to change it. instead of 10177, use 11177
