Incredible! That song is one of the most atmospheric of TG's songs all time! I definitely wouldn't change anything. Truth be told, I don't listen to it through nearly everytime I listen to it, but the ending is significant (especially when you consider it to be the ending of the whole album). Listening to it at night with headphones is truly an experience...

And one thing: I still can't forget the pfysical delight and strong feeling I got when listening to the HTMAP?-album first time, from the first track to the end of the last. It wasn't the first album I heard from the band, but after that my soul was sold to TG forever. HTMAP?, simply put, rules.

Turn the lights down in your room, put your headphones on, lay down on your bed, and play this song.

Then tell me you'd change it one bit.

Because I certainly wouldnt.

Agreed with Sins of Arcadia...maybe this is the TG song which is the hardest to get, but with the right circumstances it's perfect, actually one of their best (if I can speak about 'best' songs in TG's case)! It'd also be a nice surprise to hear the whole thing on a gig, I can imagine it as a final song like BLD.

It´s a f*cking great song but maybe I would add some parts of Anneke´s voice...I mean more voices, without lyrics, just lálálá...hahaha...yeahyeah...get it?

I don't listen to this song in normal rotation because when I listen to music in the car or at work, I don't prefer artsy drawn out songs or songs that contain more "white noise" than music...

HOWEVER

indulge in your own "Herbal Movement", put on headphones and this song will take on a new meaning. Can I get an amen?

I prefer the shorter live version found on the live bootlegs.

I don't like too much this song but, well... it's ok.... but that bored noise,... I don't like at all...

I think that this noise doesn't have any sense.... the only explication is that during recording, sound engineer or someone else had drunk a lot of beers or something and forgot to press stop button when they finished song. :-?

I wouldn't change a thing, that song is just perfect. 8)

But if I were asked to change something, I think I would just lift up a little volume in the whispers and sounds.. and make it longer!!! (extend the singing parts haha) :D

Maybe I should give it another try, because I made a one-CD version for myself without the title-track so I don't have to change CDs in the middle of the album.

Indeed.. some people mya like TG for their catchy short and more poprock orientated songs, some for their experimental tastes...
I like both :green:

Dirge,

there's absolutely nothing to understand.

it's just a matter of tolerance.
