Maybe a Mod should lock this one and open another poll with Home implemented in it?
To make it more interesting...

Ah, cruel, cruel poll it is! :) I'm tearing to pieces between albums... I really can't decide, I love all albums with Anneke, so I vote for that album (with Anneke), that has less votes... - if_then_else :P

IMO the best is "How to Measure a Planet?", it's just amazingly well done and produced.

The muscial arragements are über-incredible, and it's TG most depressing album IMO. I guess that's good hehe  .

Mine has got to be nighttime birds, probably because it was the first gathering album I ever heard. I have been a fan ever since!!!!

I know this is an old topic but since the release of 'Home' and the parting of Anneke and the Gathering, and although Home isn't one of the albums listed in the poll, my vote would have to be 'Home'.

I voted for 'Mandylion' last time around, but I've recently took a very long retrospective look at the Gathering and who they where way back from the beginning and who they are now..'Home' just hits me with such wonderful heartfelt emotions...guess it's my old age creeping up on me. I love how the Gathering have been there from my teen years to the here and now of my thirty-something years. 'Home' has such a wonderful mature sound. The true pinnacle of the Anneke era. It is a great way to end this chapter of this version of the Gathering. So till now, I have to say 'HOME' is my favorite album thus far.

I can't wait for the next chapter of the Gathering to begin. Thank you Hans and Co. for all these wonderful years and I hope for many more years to come.

time was required to make some final choice...

actually i didn't notice this: considering my previous posts, playlist and my mood, I realized i was more sensitive for listening to HTMAP? in winter and Souvenirs album in summer season... weird but so true.

so, finally both of them are my favourites and i can't pick up one only.

Home comes first. After that Mandylion, and after that probably The West Pole or Souvenirs. That last two are equally good for me. It's a shame I can't vote Home here... (:

Not a whole album, but i vote for the EP: 'The Black Light District'.
Three very different songs: the title track...an epic of 13 minutes and their best song ever. With lyrics that show exactly how my state of health and my mind is right now, although i don't believe there will be a bright light at the end, in about 6 years or so. Then 'Debris', almost as if you hear 'The Hives' playing with a female singer, their most aggressive alternative song and at last 'Broken glass' a beautiful piano ballad.

Whole album: 1) 'Mandylion' 2) 'Nighttime Birds' 3) 'If_then_Else'. Although i can't get my hands on 'Home' (sold out or so?) and i have only listen once to 'Souvernirs'. And what about the live albums?
