Nighttime Birds was the first tG album I heard, so obviously that's my choice for the best tG album. And being something of a metalhead, NTB was an album that opened my eyes for the non-metal stuff. Well, to be honest, there aren't many bands beside tG outside metal that I listen to.

HTMAP is still an unsurpassed masterpiece, if you ask me.

I choose NB but every album hve something like this:

Always : Power
AAD : Exelent music
Mandylion : A mix of both
Nighttime Birds : Beauty
HTMAP : Music to dream
ITE : the album with the best Anneke´s voice
Souvenirs : To relax, think and meditate.

A simple opinion.

The Gathering was honestly the first metal band I ever listened to  and my first album was Mandylion... but a few months after purchasing it I obtained If_then_else and for me the emotions on the album match my own so often, I found myself popping it in the CD player every time I felt sad, or anxious, or even happy and relieved. I still haven't found an album by any band that matches my moods as well as ITE.

Damn, too tough. Souvenirs is the most developed TG album I've listened, Mandylion was part of my teenage-life soundtrack, How to Measure a Planet rocks and they should play the theremin again in a future album.

I can't choose from my favourite ones. Since they change "positions" everytime, there's no point on choosing only one IMHO.

I voted NB... but what a hard choice to make! Well, not picking AaD was easy, Always..., while not bad at all, was also not too hard to eliminate, but then...
