Don't really see why the two albums are being compared, but i'd say Souveniers is the more dark album of the two, the least accessible, but maybe the more mature. A Natural Disaster (especially the title track) is a bit more chilled and coffee table, but both are wonderful albums, brilliant albums, although both of them wear their influences a little too heavily on their sleeves for my liking at times.

Anathema's music grabs me more. Less commercial. It's pure. Their lyrics appeal to me more, more emotional, more honoust. It's going deeper.

However both bands dare to experiment and know how to write a decent song. I'm glad I don't have to choose and can listen them both :)

A natural Disaster is not badly but he is too much linear

I DON'T think so
My vote is for A Natural Disaster. It would be hard to choose if Anathema or TG was the bands to choose from - simply because this two bands are my all-time favourites. Both. But this A Natural Disaster is...it's soooo beautiful and I have a lot of personal feelings about it, much more than about Souvenirs. Of course, Souvenirs is great, it's very...deep? I dunno, this word is what I've found to describe it. I love to sink in it although there are two songs(three?) on it that I don't like really much :( .
But AND is simply BEAUTIFUL from the first tunes - harmonium - till the end of violence...
I'll find you, Mosphit 8)

"It feels like I'm flying above You
Dream that I'm dying to find the truth
Seems that you trying to bring me down
Back down to earth
Back down to earth..."

I like both bands equally, but I don't like AND as much as I liked judgement or eternity. So, inevitably I vote for Souvenirs.

Voted for souvenirs.
I am glad that Anathema got 17 votes in The Gatherings's forum because i like them too.

I agree that there is no reason to compare these two albums...
