I vote NB...just because it's the one i listen the least, so maybe it means that i like it less than the others ?

I vote nighttime birds cause, in my opinion, the NB songs sound too similar to mandylion's ones ... moreover, I'd say that this LP is less amazing than the other ones too ... especially for the structures... the drum rythm... the bass part... the synth and guitar melody...

according to me, Nb is probably the most fragile skin of the chameleon band :D

ouhouho guys!! it doesn't mean i hate it ...

I'd say if_then_else. Its attempt to mix HTMAP and NB doesn't quite cut it for me... especially after the BRILLIANT HTMAP!

Huh, it was definitely hard to choose, but honestly, NB is a little bit LESS... it doesn't make it after 6 years as all of the songs put together. Of course some of them are great, but... oh come on, you know what I mean ;)

Mandylion, no hesitation. I love NB and I don't understand why so many people don't appreciate this album. Just because it has been composed later than Mandylion ? For me : each album has its own personnality but Mandylion and If_then_else. But I like the songs of ITE, while I condider that the song of Mandylion aren't very good... :-?

Please excuse me for my poor english

No, you shall die for your opinion and your English!

Most people tend to dislike NB because it seems more of a repetition of Mandylion. I like it well enough, but I consider Mandylion to be far better. NB didn't have its own personality, it was just "more of the same" from Mandylion. Plus, it's the first album by TG that I heard, so it kind of holds a special place for me.

I like Mandylion & NB about equally, but for somewhat different reasons. To me, Mandylion's songs we're either outstanding, or just good, w/ nothing in between. NB's songs ranged from good to very good, w/ nothing really outstanding among them, but overall NB as a whole is a more consistent high-quality album, if that makes sense.

I see it like this way - Mandylion was a phenomenon (I guess you spell it like that...) and Nighttime Birds was to go after it. The point is that Mandylion still lives and Nighttime Birds didn't make it in the test of time. It just doesn't go as whole album - just as I said, not as timeless and eternal as the rest. I don't mean it's bad awful and so on. It's just not as great as the rest.

I'd have to say Nighttime Birds altho that cd has some great songs on it, it's not a bad cd, just not as good as the others.

Easy question. Mandylion is the worst. The songs just are a bit boring..

A lot of people say there are 'bad' songs on NB ('bad' as in 'slightly worse as compared to other TG songs, I guess).
Uhhh... which songs are that?

On the other hand, I do find Mandylion has its weaker moments, IMHO most of the songs, except for Strange Machines, could have used just a little bit of trimming down (you know, 1 or 2 minutes less), so I voted for Mandylion.

Hey... it still beats a lot of other cd's in my collection :D :D
