c'est avec un train de retard que je découvre Always,1er cd de TG

Cependant je connaissais déja certains morceaux ( cf . Downfall : the early years)

C'est interessant de voir comment "the mirror water" et "stonegarden" on été réarrangés en acoustique pour figurer,10 ans + tard,sur Sleepy Buildings

En 1992,le groupe est au coeur de sa période Death-Métal mélodique,style qu'il a peut-être inventé,

Cd qu'on pourrait comparer avec Gothic de Paradise Lost,un peu dans le même genre......

Par ailleurs,qui est la fille qui chante de temps en temps sur le cd "always" ?

Je sais pas, on la voit dans le clip de "Kind for a day", à mourrir de rire ce clip d'ailleurs :green: Ah, c'était pas mieux avant :wink:

Marike Groot est invité sur l'album.. Elle enregsitrait des trucs dans le studio d'a coté... et ils l'ont invité...

Je sais plus ou j'ai lu lu tout ça mais sur la toile (probablement dans la section presse de gathering.nl ;))

Bon alors apparement d'après plusieurs sources,à leur début TG jouaient avec Morbid angel,Samael,Death,et étaient parmis les premiers à jouer du Doom/death métal mélodique.

TG avait prévu d'engager 1 chanteur + 1 chanteuse pour Mandylion mais il se trouve qu'Anneke avait une voix idéale pour TG..

Cependant 1 chanteur death + Anneke aurait été bien aussi, sur Mandylion et Nightime birds mais bon.....ce sont 2 pures merveilles....

Par contre pourquoi TG n'a t'il pas gardé le chanteur + la chanteuse de Always pour faire Almost a dance? contrat foireux? divergences?

Pourquoi ne pas refaire Almost a Dance avec Anneke? il y a par ex. Like Foutains qui est un bon morceau (je connait la version de Sleepy Buildings)

Ou peut-on trouver le clip de "King for a day?"

Dis donc, tu devrais faire un tour sur http://www.gathering.nl toi y a pleins de réposnes aux questions que tu te poses.
pourquoi Bart est apris après Always... Pourquoi Niels et Martine se sont fait virés... Etc... ;)

en tout cas Always me plaît bien et pour l'instant j'apprends The mirror Water et Stonegarden à la gratte

ça fait du bien un petit retour aux sources,beacoup de gens ne connaissent pas TG avant Mandylion......

ça peut parraître éttonnant, mais Always est mon deuxième album préféré de the gathering préféré avec Souvenirs... il proposait une musique très peu commune pour l'époque et je trouve qu'il a bien moins vieillit que les deux albums qui l'ont suivis

C clair que c'est un excellent album!!!
Avec le même line-up,The gathering aurait été un super groupe de doom/ death,mais en même temps il n'y aurait pas eu Anneke...

trés innovant pour l'époque,TG était l'un des 1ers groupes à faire du death atmosphérique (claviers,chant féminin,gratte acoustique) tout comme Paradise Lost,(avec Gothic, et leur chef d'oeuvre Draconian Times)
