Hola!

Hola Luis Miguel! Que onda ?
I'm very proud to have a Mexican fan! I visited your country a couple
of times in the past, and I really love the way you guys mix life and
death, and manage to keep your history alive while fighting hard to cope
with modernity. If you get your hands on Hoboken and our new album
Winterset, you'll hear some mexican samples hidden here and there
Sounds like a cliche, but I'd love to use a Mariachi band for some songs of
our next album!! But it's hard to find in the Netherlands
And the band's name comes from a temple in Palenque (temple number
10...), so there can't be a stronger connection !!
I guess you could get Hoboken via CDbaby.com . As for the new album,
it's not yet available in America (I mean the continent!
, but I hope
it will be very soon, we're working on that!
Ok, now the lyrics of Sedan. As with most Templo Diez lyrics, they're a
bit cryptic, and they don't describe precise things, but are more here
to set an atmosphere. That song is almost a road movie, imagine someone
looking outside a car window while driving in a desert. He leaves his
town in the morning with a girl, to escape his life for a moment, and at
the end of the song, they're back at dawn. The lyrics are:
This car’ll get you driving
Right up to the end
Won’t you roll down your window,
Let enter the sand
Sun trapped in the shades
Town sliding behind
Let’s drive and forget
Let’s move till it’s night
Till it’s night
Till it’s night
Till it’s night
Life’s getting hazy
Surrounded by fakes
Yours has been stolen
Why not mixing our fates
Sun trapped in the shades
Town sliding behind
Let’s drive and forget
Let’s move till it’s night
Till it’s night
Till it’s night
Till it’s night
First flares of the morning
We’re back and again
Commuters and buildings
We’re ready to fade….
And that's it! Thanks a lot for your email Luis. If you get Hoboken,
please let me know what you think of it, I'd love to have your opinion
about it.
Hasta luego!
Pascal
