Hi, agnieszek:). Well, I didn't understand if you want bands that are into metal or, instead, any kind of bands.
Anyway, I can recommend these (portuguese only, I don't know about brazilian ones...):
Madredeus (probably you have listened to them already. They're quite famous).
Mesa (poppy stuff with female vocals).
Mão Morta (great rock band with fantastic lyrics, but the male vocal probably won't please you).
Hyubris (it means something like "sin" or "offense to the gods" in greek. It's a heavy/folk ethnic band, female fronted).
Maybe other users can add some bands more...
