Hi everyone
this year, at last i will be able to visit Lisbon.Since i saw the movie Lisbon story and listened to the magical Madredeus songs, i fell in love with your country. I live in Athens, Greece and i have a lot of Portuguese friends here , in fact i think i know all Portuguese people in Athens (including the ambassador ).I am looking forward for the trip and i hope i can meet some of u there if u want to.I will stay at my friend Walter so..don't worry i won't ask anything

Hi, Harry. Well, to be honest, you will miss the best gigs... 9th december Opeth will play in Lisbon, after that there isn't nothing at all.

I don't know about other users, but I will be working. So, it's kind of hard for a meeting - specially in such a holiday period.

But I hope you enjoy your visit.

Rock&Roll (its a one-man band): on the 25th The Legendary Tiger Man » Zé dos Bois - Lisboa 23:00 10 €

A few good metal and punk things near Oporto also (north of Portugal), I dont know you will be visiting there... (Twentyinchburrial, If Lucy Fell, Dr. Zilch, Shadowsphere)

I just realized you are into Madredeus, you have to check out this:
There is an old car/truck in Rua do Carmo (Chiado) in Lisbon that sells fado CD's, you can't miss it, it has loudspeakers with fado songs paying into the street. There you can hear (and buy) some amazing stuff. Also a lot of amateur fado singers also roam in that street.

Dont forget to visit Bairro Alto, the best place to go out at night, it has a lot of bars and Fado houses, where you can enjoy a meal while listening to some portuguese folk/traditional singing. Just keep your belongings close to you while on the streets, specially on weekend nights.

Also, check out this band A NAIFA (http://www.anaifa.com/pt_anaifa.html) it melts oldschool Portuguese Fado Guitar with some more contemporary pop but still has that amazing Fado feeling.

Wish i could see some Madredeus gig but so far nothing is scheduled...at least i saw them last year when they visited Athens for a show

i will surely go there, the problem is that my Portuguese friends at Lisbon they hate fados , so i have to convince them...
