The Gathering

Greetings friends!

I am looking for all video and audio recordings from Ankkarock to make a mix DVD. I have the ability to synchronize all the different videos out there then pick the best camera angle for any given moment, just like the pro's do. The end result would be a nice DVD made by the fans. I think it could turn out well if there are enough camera angles available. I want to represent this last show with Anneke in the best way possible, so we can all enjoy it forever.

Any good recording is welcome. You don't need to have recorded the entire show. If you have a good quality shot of just one song, or even part of a song, send it over. There's a good chance I'll be able to use it. For the best quality, I want to get the original, unmodified video from your cameras. In other words, don't compress it down to reduce the size before sending it.

If you have a video you want to submit for this project, send me a private message and I'll give you a login to send it direct to my ftp site.

If anyone knows of a good video from someone who doesn't read the forum, please try to get a copy of their video to me. If you see a good video from youtube, point me to it so I can contact them to see if they want to send me their video.

I am serious about making something good here. I can't promise anything yet without seeing the quality of the video out there. I talked about doing this at the party after the show and I got a positive response from people. I'll need all your help if you want this to be a success. It's going to be a lot of work for me to do, but I think it's too important to let the opportunity pass to document this historical event. I feel like I need to do this, sort of like I felt that I needed to go to Finland in the first place!

I've got the video from ziz lined up with marcotoronto's video, which is good because he has one continuous recording of the show. I've got LordCliff's video being sent to me right now by feedback. And I'm expecting some video from Lukaz at any time.

Thanks so much! Lukaz showed me that one when we were still at the hotel. I will try to get the original because it gives a great idea of how big the crowd was.

One thing I have not had the time to do yet is search youtube for more videos. I have been so busy, so any help with that is great.

But last weekend, MarcoToronto gave me his audio recording and it sounds good! I'll be doing some remastering as well to make it sound even better for inclusion in this DVD.

Would be nice if it was ready be say october 31st??? To coincide with the release of the real thing?
Or maybe around half december as nice x-mas thingy

Hey man!

I am working on this as much as I can but I have been so busy that it is hard to find time to really get into it. I've got all the videos lined up, but the hard part is picking out the best angles. It would be nice to have it ready next month, but no promises! I am in contact with that guy behind the youtube link Abbath posted and he will send me his video too.

I certainly don't have it. If you know who to ask, go ahead! Ask them for the video that was shown on the big screen as well!
