The Gathering
Goodbye Anneke: Live at Ankkarock Festival August 4 2007
Recorded by Marcotoronto :: Mastered by Creeping Death
Artwork by Maiden Lord

Download the torrent:
http://fade.no-ip.org:6969/

As requested, this is the audio CD version of my multi camera DVD. This is taken from the same master as the DVD, with the only technical difference being the recording's original 44.1 kHz sample rate is preserved, verses 48 kHz for DVD. The tracklist on this CD is exactly the same as the DVD. I used FLAC format to preserve the full sound quality. Album artwork is embedded in every file.

If you are not familiar with FLAC format, you can learn more at http://flac.sourceforge.net/. Winamp is a popular program that plays FLAC.
You can use Nero to burn a CD, just remember to remove the gap between each track and make sure that you do not normalize the files. Alternatively, there is a simple little freeware program I like called Burrrn that makes it very easy to burn audio CD's from many formats. Get it here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Burrrn.htm

I do not expect this release to have anywhere near the popularity of the DVD version. I simply had a request for a CD version, so here it is.
Enjoy!

Thank you so much! :)
As a finn I still find it hard to believe that the last show with Anneke was explicitely in Finland! I remember someone here saying that a crappy little festival somewhere in the middle of nowhere is not worthy for Anneke's last gig with TG. For Ankkarock it was a rare honour, like Jone Nikula said when he called TG to the stage. I've seen TG five times in different countries but there are no bootlegs, nothing recorded, from the other gigs I saw, so I'm very happy that there is an awesome DVD and now also this CD from the show in Finland where I was there myself!

Happy to make you happy, Myron! I never knew the announcer was named Jone Nikula. I've never seen this guy before and I still have no idea what he was saying up there! Did I put the beginning of the sound at a reasonable spot in his speech? It could have been in the middle of a sentence for all I know.

The speech is perfect there! :) "Ankkarock has this year 2007 the rare honour to present you in their present line-up for the last time: The Gathering!" (Ankkarockilla on vuonna 2007 harvinainen kunnia esittää teille nykykokoonpanossaan viimeistä kertaa: The Gathering!) Jone Nikula is a well-known media person around here.

Awesome, so I wasn't imagining it when I heard him say "Ankkarock" in there. This guy did so much talking whenever he was up there, and I never had a clue what about.

First, thanks for this boot!
I'm not familiar with FLAC files but it's obliged to burn it on a cd? I have downloaded the software you've written but before burn it I want to listen it and so, let it on my computer...

@Hel: normally you should only have to download a plug in for winamp or the player you use to play mp3... then it should be possible to listen to the thing on your pc without burning...

That's correct. I only call it a CD version because it comes with artwork and everything you need to make a proper CD. You can just listen to the FLAC files directly just like MP3.

12 downloads already. 8)

I continue to be amazed at the response to all this. So far, 22 downloads of the CD and 116 of the DVD!

See you soon, Faridee! 8)

Hi,

Can you please repost this? I'm new to the forum and as my introduction post says, I only have two DVDs by The Gathering right now. I'd love to have some live Gathering material on my Zen.

Thanks, Dan

The torrent file is deleted for inactivity, you have to reupload the torrent to Rapidshare.

Thanks, Dan
