No it isnt, but I dont have the right equipment and software anymore to make a better ripping.....and lack of time is the main issue. But looking at the pm's ive got. I know I made a lot of people very happy
I know you care a lot about high audio quality but to me a bootleg is just a nice souvenir, nothing more nothing less.....I dont feel like spending hours of my precious time into audio editing.

I dont say you should do some mastering... but if your source is wav, just open itunes and have it encoded in 320kbps while you're cooking, than wont take super long, and well you're cooking in the meantime you know
I used to spend some time on bootleging and seriously, I needed to capture the recordings on the computer in real time... that was a burden, I was always leaving the PC do its work and get busy with something else (like watching a movie )

Shit I know see what you meen, that the files are only 110kb, I ripped the whole wav file into one big 320kb file and then I cut the files. Could it be that when I cut them the kb got changed?

Best is to cut your big wav and then rip the files as mp3s...
cause if you do otherwise, you might ecnode the wav in mp3s, then decodes the mp3s to cut them to reencodes them while you save... not sure but I think it could lower the quality too

Can't you hook it up via USB and transfer with the Sony software? It should originally be saved to uncompressed wav to preserve the quality. Every time you save an mp3, there is quality loss.
