Yeah. In that radio interview a few weeks ago where they played "Saturnine", Anneke said the next album would probably be a mix of the semiacoustic sound of Sleepy Buildings and the triprock of Souvenirs. I am pretty excited to see where they go with this.
As far as covering the old songs, there is a whole LIST of things I'd like to see TG do that will probably never be done: release that fabled Pink Floyd cover, do an album of covers of bands of different genres, and have Ulver or some other electronic musicians release an album of remixes of all their stuff, from earliest to newest (kind of an electric Sleepy Buildings
) but I wouldn't want to see the band do something they didn't have their whole hearts and souls in because that seems to be what makes their music so powerful. It would be like a band that releases a hit album, and enjoys the success so much they try to make Hit Album 2... it usually ends up just being trendy and shallow... definitely NOT The Gathering.
