I vote for:

Second Sunrise (but without that weird synth whistle)

Strange Machines
Eleanor (well.. I'd vote for all Mandylion)

On most surfaces

Rollercoaster....

Oh such a hard topic!!! I voted for Great Ocean Road because I've visited Australia before and the way the song is constructed, I can feel myself flying into Sydney all over again. Just the coolest =)

I'd have to say it's a tie between Black light District (which I was surprised wasn't listed on the poll), Travel, and How to measure a planet?. All three are such epic masterpieces and the level of atmosphere and emotion present in these songs gives me the chills. Black light district and Travel are like a religious experience live!!! :o :D And although How to Measure a planet has no lyrics, (with the exception of the astronaut samples) words don't always have to be present to create a phenomenal song (I love the song Mandylion). I envision sooo much when I hear HTMAP and by the time I open my eyes I have a feeling of utter satisfaction and a warm feeling all around ( I just don't understand that poll about cutting minutes out of this song?!) And although these are my favorite songs, I enjoy all the Gathering's albums including the old stuff with Bart Smits. That's what I love about the Gathering because when I'm in a different mood, I can listen to a different album and connect with it.

Hmmm....I'll go for In Motion #2, I feel so sad when I listen to it....the fact of put the chorus of In motion #1 in it it's simply magical. My second position will be for The Big sleep, but that song is not here =)

I´m so sad that Rescue me didn´t make it out... But nevertheless, Saturnine is also a wonderful song. So full of emotions... Please forgive me, but I always start to talk a lot when I think of this great song...

My favourite one, and i think there's no best songs of TG but there's a favourite one for everyone (or maybe a preference for a song), ma favourite one is Amity, the trip hop version is also an excellent song.
