Absolutely the Gathering cannot be compared in any eay with others, but do you think is a good stuff to buy anyway? They only have female vocals or male as well? (I would prefer female only ;-)) :D

And Sirrah. Well, actually it doesn't exist anymore but an album called "Acme" is a masterpiece (IMHO) :)

Hi folks, i have a question: last weekend at the OBOA- festival i saw a good polish rockband called "MILCZENIE OWIEC". Does anybody knows more about this band? Are they famous in poland? How many records they released so far? And what does the name of the band means?

Their name means "Silence of the Lambs". I've never heard about that band before. There's a link to their site but unfortunately it's only in Polish :( http://www.milczenieowiec.pl/
I might be wrong but they have released a couple of demos and singles and one LP

unfortunately there is no english (or german) version of this homepage, but i understand a few things. Thank you. There was another polish band at the OBOA- festival called " Farben Lehre" and i wonder why a polish band choose a german name? Does "Farben Lehre" sounds funny in polish ears? :o

I actually wasn't aware that such band exists until I've read this therad. I've checked them but they sound painfully average to me. Their singer is incredibly beautiful and has a nice voice, but the rest just dont work for me.

damn, you caught me! "may the force be with you" or whatever

@pistone: They sound average? Maybe. They have not invented the wheel again, but it was a good rock concert to me. For me it is not average because i have never heard a band before who sings in polish. Normaly i listen to bands who sings in english or german and i understand the most of the lyrics. And i have to admit, i dont no anything about the polish rockscene or musicscene in general. So it was an entertaining evening to me. :D
