Hello!

I just uploaded on Dime the following concerts in FLAC:

The Gathering - Hardenberg, Netherlands - December 30 1998 AUD
The Gathering - Mexico City, Mexico July 4th 1998 AUD
The Gathering - Nürnberg, Germany - January 20 1999 AUD
The Gathering - Offenbach, Germany - January 21 1999 AUD
The Gathering - Offenbach, Germany - October 6th 1997 AUD
The Gathering - Paris, France (Showcase) - November 21 1998
The Gathering - Zwolle, Netherlands - January 11 1999 FM

Could any fan help me to spread LOSSLESS stuff on Dime or any other torrent trade site?

I really don't like mp3 sourced bootlegs for archival purposes.

Nice! Just wish other fans could upload their concerts. I'm tired of poor mp3 sourced concerts...

You keep saying this but actually only the person who recorded a show could seed it as lossless...
I got a few boots on CDs (at that time it was still like a real trading between 2 people) but they were actually mp3 put back on wav...
and to be honest, some bootlegs are so shitty soundwise that it doesnt really matter if they are on mp3s or lossless...

I understand your point of view, but I never recorded a Gathering concert and I have more than 20 beautiful sounding concerts and they are all lossless, that's why I'm sharing. I got many CD-Rs from master DAT, Minidiscs and traded via snail mail for some time.

It is really difficult nowadays to find lossless shows, that is why I asked if anyone has non lossy stuff. I don't mean to put down the mp3 sourced concerts, but to me (only my opinion) it is really annoying the bad encoded stuff, like clicks and pops and loss of frequencies. Not to talk about the clicks between the tracks.

Just my opinion, not trying to be a pain in the ass... :)

I get your point of view.. the low quality stuff made me give up on getting boots.. actually I also dont see the point in having 20 times the same songs... Unless it has something special each time ;)
I actually did record a couple of show myself.. maybe one day i'll get the time to encode them (I'm more AppleLossLess than FLAC user...) I'll keep you updated ;)

Great selection you have here. Just curious...do you know if anyone has made artwork to those not included? Thank you.

Oh, Apple Lossless is great too! Something special like a rough version of "In Between" played in 2001?

What i most enjoy on bootlegs is the difference between the performances. Sometimes the same setlist sounds quite different, you can feel the band tired, or enjoy a great performance.

Did you record in DAT, Minidisc, Cassete? Just curious...

was a sony stereo mic -> MD -> analog transfer to PC -> normalising/ bit of EQ/ Comp -> CDs
I had done a recording of the melkweg show of 2001 but after discussing this with the band, I deleted the new tracks of my master recording cause they had the Century Media issue and I didnt want to be the dick if it'd leak...
Pity cause my recordings had better quality than the one available now...

Regarding TG I did the recordings of Speechless... Live Lille 2003 and RaismesFestival 2003.. So if you have them lossless already, I cant provide more...

Great, do you have a list of your lossless recordings? It would be interesting to get them if possible...

I found a live recording from the song "debris" in a bootleg. I dont know from which concert, i think is from 2002.
I never had the chance to listen to "debris" live, so i uploaded it. Probably you all already listened to it.

I'm looking for this boot Live @ Festival for Peace. I think it's from the 2000/2001 era. I just have the song "Lutine".

I think only one or two people from the forum have that bootleg and for some reason they're not sharing it, i barely understand any french, that's all i got from the french bootleg topic hahahaha. Maybe they lost it? have no idea, but it would be cool to listen to the whole performance of that night indeed.

I lost my argentinian bootlegs from the shows in 2007, if i find them again i will sure post the links here, the shows were amazing, and in my opinion they're the best crowd for TG in the whole world (in the countries i've been to anyways), a little bit different from chilean since they're TG fans and not mostly Anneke's :D
