interesting but hmmm... no, I had enough with Funny Games US. still hooked.

the reason why it is so scary to me is because it looks real in a way and the pressure grew on and is just psychologic. It is not horror, gore and insane (like many bloody movies I saw, which i find ridiculous). The story is quite simple but Mickael Haneke technicity makes the result genius. He is a good manipulator.

I didn't know he could produce so scary movies. blablablablablabla... sorry guys.

A Horror/thriller/slasher movie. This is definitely not a movie for the casual horror fan. This is the most disturbing film I have ever seen. I'm not sure if I would call it specially scary, but it is so "raw" and cruel it's sometimes unbearable. If you thought Haute Tension or, to a lesser extent, Hostel were too much, don't even get near this film. Only for those hardcore fans with a strong stomach. It does have a couple of issues here and there, but if this movie doesn't leave you in fetal position shivering in a corner, then you are the ultimate horror fan! :P
Or maybe I am just a wuss :P

I saw this one last week... I had to close my eyes twice! I like horror movies, but this one is really cruel. The simple scene with the cat made my stomach crumble!

Yeah, I think the keyword with this movie is "cruel", definitely. There were so many scenes where I wanted to close my eyes... specially during the last 5 minutes.

La Jeune Fille Coupée en Deux

La Fleur du mal

by Claude Chabrol

Subtil, thrilling, dramatical, fun and 100% French, I liked these two movies.
Nice acting (I like Ludivine Sagnier and Benoit Magimel) and lyrics. It’s satirical and cynical.
If you don't like the first movie, then don't watch the second one. It's probably not your cup of tea

07/10

Life Aquatic by Wes Anderson

Image

disappointed... I admit it's original, different from an esthetic point of view (something which to look for), but it's sooo boring! didn't watch the whole thing.
recommended for Bill Murray fans.
pffff...

Iron Man by Jon Favreau

This movie is a good adaptation from the comic book.
Probably its as good as Spiderman (first movie)
There are still so much "clichés" especially in this kind of movie, but this is still a good one. really. entertaining moments. Marvel fans will like it for sure.

6,5/10

Taken. This movie is a lot of fun. It's action and suspense stars Liam Neeson (sp)
Co written by Luc Besson and directed by the dude who directed District B13.

After sitting through crappy CGI films, Hancock and Wanted. Which, both blew chunks.
I got a download of Taken. The story is nothing new but you add the great acting of a Jedi to it. It becomes something greater. The movie is very fast paced, exciting, and you just want to see those bastrds die! LOL

Taken 8/10

Not sure how old this movie is, or if it was released in Europe already. It shows a release date of September 2008 for the US.

I just saw another great movie from 2008.

From Norway

Låt den rätte komma in (AKA "Let The Right One In)

9/10

I'm not a huge fan of Vampire films. I like a few. This one is a really good story that happens to have Vampires in it. :D

Oh, sorry...I should have clarified. My personal rating for movies is from a scale of 1 thru 5. Slumdog Millionaire and The Wrestler are both 5/5 for me :D

My favorite movie of all time though is definitely Two - Lane Blacktop. A true classic. I can't live without this movie.

I've seen the trailer for Let The Right One In. It looks like an awesome movie. The trailer itself was creepy.

I remember seeing Two Lane Blacktop at the Drive-in, when I was a kid. I liked a lot of those 70's car films. Gone In Sixty Seconds, Death Race 2000,
Corvette Summer, Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, and Vanishing Point

I know everyone pretty much hates Robert Blake.

Still his movie Electra Glide In Blue is too good. BridgeToClarity mentioned all those cool 70's flicks, I spent an entire weekend re-watching them all.
