I voted "Black Light District".
A song that I like too is "Saturnine", specially in this concert.

still hesitations... still hesitations...

I love everything about this release. it is the best live recording ever to me. the band did improve their game through the years and the audience feeds the energy perfectly.

the setlist (i mean the one in the DVD) is killer too.

Black Light can make it for this poll. it's noisy, solid and honnest.
not only cause it's my fave TG song ... but they played it so strong and well. the way i know it in TG gigs

on the other view, songs like Travel was more emotionnal to me than ever too. i can pick this one but still don't like that fast intro and the 'semi accoustic' piano before the last chorus part though (same notice for Eleanor for which i prefer the 'traditionnal' symphonic keys before the last part of the song)

I find Probably built in the 50's close to perfection too

Home stuffs are huge on stage but don't fit the yang side. not the way i see it for ANS concept anyway. Alone sounds heavier in ANS than ASR though.

Saturnine is nice... but not the one I'd pick. still the piano touch and the audience messed the end of this sad song, especially the last part... ok, it is noisier than ever but sounds like a world championship soccer match. ahahah.

about Souvenirs songs, Spirits is quite okay... but 'ordinary'. Monsters is cool but the added and speed up instrumental crescendo let me cold finally... it is outta rythm and off Monsters, considering the original or promo version which is beyond reproach.

maybe I could pick something older like Strange Machines... at least for the nostalgy ... cause the performance sounds trully heavy this time and the keys were gloomy as i like it in Mandylion album.

On Most Surface is powerful but they reduced the intro (as for Strange Machines)... what a regret. these are important.

Adrenaline and Third Chance are killers but it's a pity they put them together in the end of the set ... this breaks the deal right before the long and complex BLD.

well, still hesitations... still hesitations... probably between two or three songs... Black Light , Travel, Probably built in the 50's are the Highlight...

there are a lot of details i forgeot and these are just my comments for today ... oh, what a hard task.

i guess i still have to listen to this ahahahah...

Waking Hour. Really beautiful. I'm sad that they didn't play it and A noise severe in the gigs that I attended.

Black Light District(a-could be-excellent song) is totally ruined by the "hooray,we rock!" part by just hitting the guitar over and over again for 3-4 minutes,it's so boring and useless,it just makes me want put my finger in my eye and pull it out.

The performance of "Strange machines" on DVD was excellent, so my vote goes there.

Waking Hour, perticularly the sudden change in style it causes with In Motion part I.

'Saturnine'! Without a shadow of doubt. I get high whenever I listen to it, it's like floating in space, it's so terribly awesome!

I hold with you. The endless ending is so aweful, absolutely annoying.

The version on Monsters EP (Rock it! TV - Ungebrochen) is perfect, any longer is taboo imo.
That's why it isn't my fav track on ANS, tho it could have been.

Black Light District. Its so much better than the EP version, and the first time I heard it was on this DVD, and I was blown away completely.

I have voted for Shortest Day.
A Noise severe is a great song and I like the performance - but I'm missing the sharp guitar sounds of the studio version here.
Black light district - great that they recorded a live version of this song! I think it has it's lengths, though.

Alone is exceptional on "A sound relief" IMHO.

Excuse me for being off-topic, but Alone exceptional on A sound relief? I saw it last week, and I was glad the sound relief version wasn't the album version, actually...
The idea was nice, but it did need quite some arrangement imho...
