Does this mean that my guess could be correct? If so, BridgeToClarity will have to part with his Hoff Soap dispenser soon. At least he won't have to ship it overseas!

Actually, a better prize from The Gathering would be a U.S. tour. :D

I found this on twitter - was going to post it.Here's a computer translation anyway, not perfect I know :-

OSS / NIJMEGEN - It was not easy times for The Gathering. The origin of Osse band - not the first time in its twenty years of existence - "beheaded" by the departure of its lead singer. The remaining members took the time for their search for a suitable successor, who will soon officially be presented to the public.
Very difficult." Drummer Hans Rutten example describes the situation when his band The Gathering ended up, after singer and figurehead Anneke van Giersbergen announced her departure in 2006. The band is no longer "on speaking terms' with the former kopvrouw, which chose its own project, Agua de Annique. Together with his brother, guitarist Rene and fellow band member from the very start, keyboard Frank Boeijen, Hans was very positive about the fate of The Gathering: "It's our band, we continue to make music." They knew to ensure the support of bass player Marjolein Kooijman. The band ventured after De Gier Mons farewell to writing new songs and looked at home and abroad for a new singer.
Guitar Driven
"We have about nine to ten new songs composed, not weaned from experiments and it was very refreshing for us to play. They are also good guitar driven, Hans makes the fans curious. At the end of this month there will be new work by the group on the Internet platform to MySpace as one and has been remixed. It also is known who the new permanent singer of The Gathering is. "I can already tell that she is not Dutch," says Hans. Furthermore, the band on the new album The West Pole using two guest singers, one of whom is from the Netherlands and from abroad come, but live in the Netherlands. The band does not need to make a media spectacle out of it: "We put the album on the market and what to do short tours in the Netherlands and Europe, some festivals and such. We go the next time to live a collective commitment to it. "

Not surprised that they are not in speaking terms. Must be awkward. But life does go on and Anneke wasn't The Gathering. There are other members. And with Silje joining on....
