i´m wondering because i read that the sziget festival takes place from the 30.7. to 4.8.....and tg plays on the 6.8.?
but perhaps i read the wrong dates...i don´t know

They ARE the wrong dates...it's between 4th and 11th August.
It will be NICEEEEEEE
The Gathering,Amorphis,COB...and a lot of good Hungarian bands I like!
And I hope TG will get the Main Stage to play again...(They were there on 2002 too-my first TG concert )It was at 16.30(wooww,like Superheat)but it was GREAT.
Write here if anybody comes-I'd be happy to meet TG fans from other countries...

Well,I help You if I can but now I have no list yet from the bands that play...If there will be a complete list I'll introduce You what I know and recommand what I like.But as you may know,on Sziget there will be about 6 or 7 stages with houndreds of bands...I think we should wait for such list 'til June.But I write here as soon as I read something interesting...
From the foreigners Amorphis is sure,too.And it's cool

Sziget guests that are (almost) sure are the followings:
AMORPHIS, Children of Bodom, In Flames, Saxon, Grave Digger, Anthrax, MY DYING BRIDE, Cannibal Corpse...a nice list for metal fans I think Of course The Gathering, too
As I know, TG will play on 6th Aug, 21,30 at Hammer World tent. It's not too big but I think there won't anyone be smashed - maybe on Cannibal Corpse
And after it, there will play my favourite Hungarian rock band, Black-Out - give them a chance, too (they sing in Hungarian but music is excellent...
More infos coming soon. Oh, and there will be Rasmus, too, if anyone cares

Hey I'm from Hungary!:) This will be my 2nd TG concert in this year:) I can die happy now...no, not now, but after the concert:D

Hey Dutch people, how about a meeting - for example on 6th at 13.00 by HammerWorld Stage? Then you can hear the soundcheck of TG too, the main band always does it before the stage program starts. It's at about 16.00, then comes the first band of the day, so I think TG soundcheck will be between 13.00 and 15.00.
If you are there, search for a Mandylion-TShirt on a little brown-haired boy singing TG with a beer in his hand

Can anyone from Hungary can help me.I recorded all the show from Sziget with my Camera but i have to change the tapes in last moment to record BLD and one guy from there help me with that but i forgot to take the tape from him after that.I want only a copy.On the tape have 10 min soundcheck and all songs till BLG.If anyone can help me it will be very nice

Offcourse i was there. Stood in front at the beginning, but because of all the male groupies (a sight i haven't seen before) i went backwards after a few songs.
I saw a camera most of the time just in front of me on the right.

It was a great concert, although the male groupies were a little bit to enthiousiast, but i geuss that's just because they can't see the Gathering that often. I made some pictures with my broken camera, and the all were moved. But the short movie i made from the end of travel is really nice.

Sziget overall was a great festival. I doubt if Lowlands next weekend can be better.
