checking the forum tonight... I was looking at the board "These Good People" thinking that doing that benefit gig, they're should be a medal "these Good People" given to the band!

excellent news for many people here...

besides that tickets are really really cheap.. €9... not even chilean little bands play for that money... in the last chilean gig, cheaper ticket cost was almost €38 ... a big difference, so we know it's a great effort from the band...

it seems there will be a lot of people in that venue.. that for sure...

ha thanks Coyote! I was wondering how much it was the last time... I couldn't remember but I thought it was a number with 4 zeros... but I had doubts about it (I'm not an expert in Chilean pesos..)
This is great that it's that cheap!! That price was the one you could see in the NL 10 years ago...

Great, great show last night. I had goosebumps the whole time.

Since I listened to "The West Pole" - which I love, I was sure that Silje was going to shine with her own light. In all honesty, I find the texture of her voice much more beautiful than Anneke's, having a more "mature" and "warm" voice as opposed as the "girlie" and sometimes "nasal" voice of Anneke. The change was for the better in my book. That quality also translates better on a live environment, because the big P.A. sound can be really, really unflattering for somewhat "nasal" voices.

The band was on top form and you could see that this was a special night for both the crowd and the band. The feeling in the air was of big gratitude towards the band. The place was packed and the mood was great. Sound wise it was also really, really good (well, maybe "when trust becomes sound" sounded a bit shrill, but I guess that's the sound of that particular song from the album also)

From TWP if I remember correctly they played everything except for the "guest vocals" songs and "you promised..." Unfortunately it seems like many people wasn't that familiar with the latest album, but I enjoyed every second of those songs.

This time they didn't play "Strange Machines" which is fine for me, while they closed the gig with "Travel" ... and that's a perfect ending.

The setlist (in no particular order) was something like:

-Great Ocean Road
-Analog Park
-Saturnine
-On Most Surfaces
-Even the Spirits are Afraid
-In motion #1
-Leaves
-Treasure
-All you Are
-The West Pole
-No Bird Call
-No One Spoke

There was a small voice/piano piece they did which I didn't recognize... shame on me!

All in all, a night full of spine chilling, goosebumps and emotions. Being my 5th time seeing TG live I went back home as amazed as always.
