Nou, omdat ik vind, dat we dit Nederlandse forum moeten opkrikken, zal ik een aantal posts doen.

Wat vinden jullie het beste album van The Gathering? Vreemd genoeg is dat bij mij uiteindelijk How to measure a planet?

Nou bij mij is dat ook idd HTMAP en souvenirs......Deze albums zijn het meest experimentele van TG en daar hou ik gewoon van...... Vind de rest ook zeer uitstekend en luister er ook vaak naar, maar deze 2 steken er gewoon met de kop er boven uit :D

Zit goed in elkaar....zang.......noisy gitaren.....rare bliebjes :D ...is altijd weer een feest om naar te luisteren :lol:

Bij mij wisselt 'welke vind ik het beste' steeds tussen Nighttime Birds en Souvenirs.

HTMAP heb ik waarschijnlijk nog niet vaak genoeg gedraaid (ken TG pas sinds medio vorig jaar) om het album op volle waarde te kunnen schatten.

HTMAP, Souvenirs, Nighttime Birds, If_Then_Else, enz... Het is verdomd moeilijk om te kiezen maar ik ga toch voor HTMAP!!

:D mijn eerst kennismaking met TG en heb ik lang als 1 v mijn beste cds beschouwd, totdat ik After Forever leerde kennen... :roll:

ik wacht op dé echte combinatie tussen HTMAP en SOuvenirs, met een vleugje BLD, want die cd's (MCD gedoe bladiebla) zijn gewoon amazing!

jah jah, eigenlijk hoop ik die stijl met mn eigen band te behalen, maar da's knap lastig, kopiëren + kopiëren is niet origineel, het zal dus wel anders worden...:D

Ja, op HTMAP staan ook 3 van mijn favoriete nummers:
- Het tweede nummer van die 2e cd. (weet zo gauw niet hoe het heet)
- Locked away.
- Probably built in the fifties

Yup, Souvenirs and HTMAP, hoewel ook Always... nog een speciaal plekje bij me heeft (meer om nostalgische redenen denk ik ;) ).
