ok we're waiting for the last laughs of England,the always SELF-claimed big favorites of big tournaments what was the title on the newspapers for the group of the world cup? the best group since the beatles
You really need to stop reading newspapers, dude.
The English are very self-effacing when it comes to football. No true Englishman would ever expect England to win. We can always hope of course though! But I wouldn't be at all suprised to see us crash out of the world cup later this afternoon.
Our players get paid too much, they have no passion or drive to play for England. They all think they know how to do the managers job too, the dicks.
The Sun (a newspaper, so you should know it..!
) runs an advert campaign that says at the end of it "Maybe.. just maybe" in regards to us winning, and that's about as accurate as it gets with regards to the English opinion of football.
That said, we do have the best league in the world. As reflected in the champions league at the very least!
we had a similar talk years ago i think
i think you have the second best league after the spanish,but that's ok too,you're right
(but i personally support the italian clubs in europe
)
i personally dislike the english national team very much NOT because of england the country,or the players whom i like very much,
but because of the attitude that the other people see you having as a nation on football.
the english think they OWN football,and that all cups should be awarded to them without competition.
but when we see the team on the pitch,they're for the laughs,they never did anything really remarkable(except the cup IN own country '66),but keep thinking they are the best and all should bow to them. crap.
at least that's how some of us see it,that's my explanation.
for example i dislike germany too-very much-but any comparison on their achievements is pointless...
oh and for the world cup,since Hellas is out(
)i'm as always with Argentina,Uruguay and Holland. And i like Chile this year too
